Chesapeake Bay Foundation searching for large acreage buffer projects

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) continues to promote the James River Buffer Program in the Upper James watershed region. As they move into the second phase of their VEE grant, they are needing interest from landowners who have more heavy agricultural land use on their properties and are interested in buffering larger acreages along their creeks/streams.

Currently CBF has about 16 landowners who are interested in the program – some of which are new to the program entirely and some they have been working with for a couple years as they try to get stream exclusion fencing established before working on the buffer.
