Tips for Buffer Success: June – August

Late summer or early fall is a good time to check plantings for overall health and success. Noting problems early allows time to remedy them.

Shelters on apparently dead trees should be left in place. Some trees that appear dead may resprout from the root.

Before replanting, consult with your buffer project advisor about possible cost share and be sure to fix the problem that caused the morality the first time.
